Parts and their functions

• Radially symmetrical body (अरीय सममित शरीर) — Body parts arranged around a central axis — e.g. coelenterates, ctenophores, echinoderms (adult).
• Any plane through the centre (केंद्र से गुजरता कोई भी तल) — In radial symmetry every such plane divides the body into identical halves.
• Bilaterally symmetrical body (द्विपार्श्व सममित शरीर) — Left and right halves mirror each other — annelids, arthropods, chordates and others.
• One median plane (केवल एक मध्य तल) — Only this one plane gives two identical halves.
